Inga graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa with a BSc in Physiotherapy. She further completed post graduate training in 2007 obtaining a certificate in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy so that she could improve and expand her skills in MSK physiotherapy.
She is also trained in Vestibular Physiotherapy.
She regards herself as an all-rounder general physiotherapy practitioner.
She treats the following :
- Home Visits – rehabilitation, reconditioning, re-enablement or other physiotherapy requirements at home
- Injuries – sport, non-sport, RSI, straining injuries, whiplash
- Joint and muscle disorders
- Neurological conditions – based on experience and skills gained
- Orthopaedic conditions
- Pain conditions – acute and chronic
- Palliative physiotherapy to terminally ill and bedridden
- Post-operative rehabilitation and post-illness reconditioning
- Postural dysfunction, muscle imbalances and biomechanical irregularities
- Vestibular and balance rehabilitation
Inga applies her vast knowledge (with over 30 years clinical experience and skills in multidisciplinary physiotherapy settings) as well as her sound clinical reasoning skills to deliver appropriate evidence-based physiotherapy services to her clients.
The muti-disciplinary settings include MSK, neurological, cardiorespiratory, orthopaedic, geriatric and post-surgical physiotherapy.
She has a holistic approach in assessing and understanding her client’s situation in formulating an appropriate treatment for optimum outcome. She encourages the client’s pro-active participation in their recovery – educating and advising so that they can understand the problems and their own body better, self-manage and maintain their progress & recovery.
She has been a regular and avid CPD learner for over 20 years engaging in programmes in various topics of professional interest to broaden her knowledge and skills in physiotherapy practice. These have included course attendances, seminars, conferences as well as reading professional publications and websites.
Inga was born, raised and educated in South Africa, she emigrated to Bristol in 2009. She enjoys general outdoor activities, gardening, walking about locally, hiking and nature trails. She loves nature and wildlife as well as animal welfare. She has a strong personal interest in natural health and well-being. She has a favourite quote “Good Health is The Best Wealth”
