Gemma Addison graduated from Brunel University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2007. She spent 5 years consolidating her knowledge in a wide range of clinical settings whilst working under the expert care and guidance of the NHS. During this time, she also gained a post graduate qualification in acupuncture as well as attending multiple professional courses to expand her skills. After deciding on a career in the musculoskeletal field Gemma secured a position working for an acclaimed hospital in Singapore. She spent 4 years here and was quickly promoted to a senior role where she was responsible for educating students and junior physiotherapists.
Whilst in Singapore she successfully completed an advanced certificate in the management of complex musculoskeletal conditions that involved teaching from world renowned leaders in Neck, Back, Knee, Hip and Shoulder conditions.
She returned to the UK in May 2017 and has since been working in private practice in the Bristol area. In 2020 she completed an in-depth mentorship program with acclaimed physiotherapist Ben Cormack, analysing the current research surrounding the management of pain and common injuries. The most recent string to her bow is to become qualified as a Mummy MOT practitioner recommended for all those new mums to check out their pelvic health post giving birth.
