Emma Davies (married name Klijn) specialises in soft tissue injuries. This includes myofascial trigger points, acupuncture, sporting injuries and postural imbalances specifically in runners, triathletes, rugby players and horse riders. However, those who are not sporty are also very welcome. As an enthusiastic sports person, she is keen to promote a healthy lifestyle and can offer advice on nutrition, office workstation set up, lifestyle management and training programs of all levels. She was the lead physiotherapist for Old Bristolians RFC for over seven years. Currently, she is joint owner of Bristol Physio alongside Tony Gill and Andy Howse. They have a wealth of experience between them,  which comes across in Emma's treatment and assessment. background & Experience

Emma Davies attained a BSc with Honours in Science in Health, Exercise and Sport (in 2004) from The University of Wales, Institute Cardiff. Whilst at UWIC she qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist. She also worked with the Welsh and Italian Rugby Union Teams during multiple IRB Six Nations Tournaments. Emma then ran her own sports massage practice in Wales for a year,  before moving to Bristol to start her second degree in Physiotherapy at the University of West England. She has worked for the NHS and gained experience in a broad range of clinical settings  including Outpatients, Rheumatology, Orthopaedics and Intensive Care. Emma attends regular CPD courses to ensure she is up to date with the latest scientific evidence, which is then applied to her treatments.

Outside of work, Emma Davies likes to go horse riding, being outdoors and jogging. She has also participated in triathlons, trail running and has competed to a high level in Dressage and Eventing and Internationally in Pistol Shooting.
